Momoland's JooE talked about her wish to pursue further education.
On the March 18 airing of KBS 2TV's 'Hello Counselor,' a father shared his son dreams of becoming a singer-songwriter, while he wants his son to focus on education.
Hearing the father's concerns, JooE commented, "I actually want to study now. I want to go to college. After doing this (working in the idol industry), I realized why you need to study. I can feel it now."
MC Shin Dong Yup brought laughter as he commented, "I started studying again after also wondering, 'Why didn't I study in the past?' But when I did (study again), I once again realized why."
It's smart and makes sense, especially in her industry. Like her or not, idols walk a precarious road while trying to make it in their industry. Even people who have essentially "made it", who haven't had any sort of scandals, can still fall from grace just as quickly when the new "it" actor or actress debuts, or new trends change what becomes popular in music. Some people can be popular one moment, then essentially forgotten a few years later. There are a few behemoth exceptions to this rule, but to gain that kind of popularity is incredibly rare. Given the very delicate position a group like Momoland finds themselves in, I wouldn't be shocked if she's not the only one thinking about a plan B to support herself.
