It's official, the Map Of The Soul album is on its way!

Yet, many of us are wondering, what's the concept?

We all know the Love Yourself albums were about, well, loving yourself!

We also don't have much of a story line for this album, but we know what to expect.

There are, of course, some theories going around

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The Jungian Archetype Theory ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The theory is that the Love Yourself albums and Map Of The Soul are all describing the Jungian archetypes of the human personality. In other words, the parts of our mind that make our personalities. 

(Somehow this theory doesn't include LY: Wonder)

The supposed links are:

LY: HER: ANIMA

LY: TEAR: SHADOW

LY: ANSWER: SELF

Of course, Map Of The Soul will play as the persona part. Yet, there is more to just this part of the theory.

LOVE YOURSELF: HER

ANIMA

This part of the theory, the Anima archetype, is where the boys lean towards their feminine sides. The girls in the highlight reels are supposedly their alternate female selves. 

LOVE YOURSELF: TEAR

SHADOW

If you noticed in Fake Love (a key song to Tear) there is a lot of dark stuff going around. From the dark robes to even the lyrics behind the song. Maybe it's a hint towards the shadow.

LOVE YOURSELF: ANSWER

SELF

This album is the whole self-love-inducing package. There is a lot of self acceptance, therefore leading to the self archetype.



~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The Save Me Webtoon Theory ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I don't know much about this theory. All I do know is that, the release date of the album is scheduled for the 12th of April. Which, in case you don't know, is a reoccurring date in the Webtoon. The date is linked to time travel in the story, so it's a possibility that we will get some questions about the Webtoon answered.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The Solo Concept Theory ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Some fans picked up something that I would have never guessed! The theory is that:

Persona = 7 letters

BTS = 7 members 

Will there be one comeback per member? Maybe one album per member? 

Who knows?  

☾ The Conclusion ☽

To be fair, we are all hyped for this new album. No matter the concept, we will still love and support our boys as much as we already did (maybe just a bit more). 

Also, keeping Big Hit in mind, they may drop the teasers and concept photos like a bomb (no pun intended). Anyways, more nights of refreshing YouTube and Twitter for me I guess.
