Burning Sun is speaking out in response to allegations made in a recent news broadcast.
During a February 8 YTN news broadcast, one Soonchunhyang University's Police Administration professors, Oh Yoon Sung, shared that two people were charged after being caught smoking marijuana at the club last year. Currently, one is serving two years in prison with three years probation, and the other is serving one year in prison with two years probation.
The professor then shared that, due to the same incident, a former Burning Sun employee had to pay a 7 million won (approximately $6,250 USD) after being charged with selling marijuana.
On February 10, a representative for Burning Sun opened up about the claims made in the broadcast to news outlet MyDaily, stating that no employee has ever been involved in selling marijuana, nor has anyone involved with the club been charged with selling it in the past.
"Moving forward, please do not associate Burning Sun with the selling of marijuana," they added.
