Actor Ma Dong Suk has won the heart of one famous Hollywood film producer.
On October 7, Jason Blum, producer of the 2017 horror film 'Get Out' and founder of Blumhouse Productions, opened up about his love for the actor while participating in a press event for the Busan International Film Festival.
The producer brought up that he was a big fan of 'Train To Busan,' and while Hollywood had previously considered remaking it, they had difficulty coming up with something that would do the original justice, and ultimately, gave up.
"My favorite actor [from the movie] is Ma Dong Suk. I think that he is exactly the right fit for a Blumhouse Productions movie. You can call him Korea's Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson," he commented.
He also expressed his plan to create a film in Korea, adding: "I want to make a horror movie in local languages. I want to do projects all over the world, not just Korea. I am curious what kind of movies can be made if we apply our production house's strategies to other cultures."
"We wanted to bring a special project to Korea, so a few years ago, we reached out. Even now, we are in the process of creating a collaboration project with a Korean production company," he commented.
Meanwhile, Jason Blum is attending the Busan International Film Festival to promote his latest film, the 2018 installment of the classic horror film franchise 'Halloween.'
