Music industry executives voted on the most influential figures in K-Pop.
In celebration of Seoul Sports' 33rd anniversary, the media outlet held a survey about the 'Power People of K-Pop' with executives from 35 music agencies. They were asked to name 3 figures for every question and rank them from #1 to #3. The figure ranked #1 is given 3 points, #2 is given 2 points, and #3 is given 1 point.
The first question asked about the 'Power People' with the greatest influence in K-Pop. Out of all, BTS took 1st place with 62 points. In 2nd place is Lee Soo Man of SM Entertainment with 48 points. Next in 3rd place is Bang Si Hyuk of Big Hit Entertainment with 42 points. Yang Hyun Suk of YG Entertainment and Wanna One both tied for 4th place with 8 points each.
The next question asked about the best producer in K-Pop. Bang Si Hyuk ranked 1st with 80 points. Lee Soo Man came in 2nd with 40 points. J.Y. Park followed in 3rd place with 31 points. Yang Hyun Suk is in 4th place with 8 points and then Teddy came in 5th with 6 points.
To the question of the best boy group, BTS ranked 1st place with 98 points. Wanna One came in 2nd with 50 points. EXO ranked 3rd with 41 points. Big Bang followed in 4th place with 9 points and then Seventeen with 4 points.
The last question asked about the best girl group. TWICE topped the ranking with 95 points. Red Velvet placed 2nd with 50 points. Black Pink followed in 3rd with 31 points, then MAMAMOO in 4th with 11 points, and G-Friend in 5th with 7 points.
