On May 2, all 4 members of WINNER guested on tvN's 'Wednesday Food Talk' for its budae jjigae (army stew) episode.
Budae jjigae (army stew) is a fusion stew combining various ingredients like kimchi, sausage, ham, ramen noodles, eggs, and more. The name comes from how army soldiers often used scrounged ingredients to whip together dinner.
During their introductions, WINNER member Lee Seung Hoon confessed, "I actually don't like budae jjigae that much," to which Kang Seung Yoon challenged, "Then why did you come out on the budae jjigae episode?"
Lee Seung Hoon responded, "I am here to represent the tastebuds of people who do not like budae jjigae," then shared, "When I was a trainee, Song Min Ho and I would go out to eat, and we would order one donkatsu and one spicy pork over rice, and then we order a soup together. But even though I wanted doenjang jjigae, Song Min Ho always ordered budae jjigae. Because the other members like it so much, I just ate it too..."
The WINNER member went on to add that even while going on taste test trips for their 'Wednesday Food Talk' appearance, when he simply commented, "Budae jjigae is definitely one food that has its lovers and haters," and that Kang Seung Yoon and Song Min Ho would attack him for it.
Kang Seung Yoon again fumed on the set, "How can budae jjigae be a food that has its lovers and haters?! You're talking nonsense!" Lee Seung Hoon even claimed that Kang Seung Yoon asked him, "Are you not even a Korean citizen? Are you a foriegner?"
