Sunny, a member of Girls' Generation who left SM Entertainment, has been spotted at A2O Entertainment, a company founded by her uncle, producer Lee Soo Man.
On the 7th, A2O Entertainment uploaded a video titled "A2O Trainees ‘A2O Summer Training Camp 2024’ Highlights" on their official YouTube channel.
The video features A2O Entertainment trainees heading to the United States for a training camp. Amid scenes of various training activities, Sunny is seen visiting the trainees’ recording studio, catching viewers' attention.
In the clip, Sunny is shown sitting in front of a console box, smiling warmly as she watches the trainees record.
Following the release of the video, netizens speculated that Sunny—who left SM Entertainment—might be assisting her uncle, producer Lee Soo Man, with music production.
Sunny is the youngest daughter of Lee Soo Man’s brother, Lee Soo Young, who is the CEO of entertainment company Starworld. Lee Soo Young was involved in producing the early-2000s girl group Sugar, which included members such as Hwang Jung Eum, Ayumi, and Park Soo Jin.
A2O Entertainment, founded by Lee Soo Man, is currently based in the United States. After selling his shares to HYBE in February 2023, Lee Soo Man entered into a non-compete
agreement that prevents him from producing music in Korea for three years. As a result, A2O is focusing on training and developing talent abroad.
Sunny ended her exclusive contract with SM Entertainment in August 2023 but remains active with Girls' Generation.
