Payments have been received by 'The Unit' contestants, but that isn't the case for the 'Mix Nine' contestants.
According to MBN's exclusive report on March 15, every single contestant who appeared on KBS idol rebooting program, 'The Unit', has been given payment.
A total of 28 episodes of 'The Unit' were aired from the start to end, with 2 episodes per day. So far, payment has been completed up to episode 24. The remaining payment will be calculated and made in the near future.

An insider commented, "Payment for all contestants has been completed. We cannot substitute the contestants' sincerity with just a 'passion pay'."
Meanwhile, contestants of the JTBC x YG Entertainment competition show reportedly never received any payment. A number of insiders told MBN that payment is not even mentioned in the contract for 'Mix Nine'. Rumors have also circulated about the debut of 'Mix Nine' being canceled. YG Entertainment has not shared any official statement regarding the issue yet.
