Regarding the possibility of a new season, Shin PD commented, "The story of 'Reply' series is not created after we select the year. We match the year after we find a fun story. If I find a good story I want to tell and the year that matches well with it then I think I'll do it."
He continued, "I'm currently studying the early 2000s when MBC sitcom 'Nonstop', which told the story of college dorm life, was a bit hit. I've also looked further down the timeline to the time of military regime and college students' life then."

However, Shin PD added, "Right now, there are two other projects that I'm working on besides 'Reply' series. I think I'll focus on 'Reply' series once the two projects are complete."
Meanwhile, Shin PD's new drama 'Prison Playbook' starring Jung Kyung Ho, Krystal, Kang Seung Yoon, and more will start airing on November 22.
