Users on online communities are accusing the girl group of plagiarizing ''Starving'' by Hailee Steinfeld. Netizens claim the acoustic start and the melody from TWICE's "Someone Like Me" sound extremely similar to ''Starving'' by the American artist.

In response to the accusations, JYP Entertainment stated on May 16, "We're currently checking with the producer of 'Starving'. We will make an announcement after confirmation."

TWICE is also accused of plagiarizing the choreography by Lovelyz. The hand and head gestures used during ''Signal'' is claimed to be greatly similar to the choreography of Lovelyz's ''WoW!''.

JYP Entertainment has not spoken up about the plagiarism accusation involving Lovelyz.

Meanwhile, on online community boards, netizens commented, ''Hiding their face with the hand gesture is seriously too similar", "Idols of plagiarism", "They copied DIA's heart choreography too..."

On the other hand, some netizens commented, "Choreographers are going to go crazy in 10 years. Every move is seen as plagiarism", "Everything is plagiarism if you think/view it this way", "I guess TWICE is just too popular."
