On January 5, according to Korea's congress, the Animal Relations Society Representative Council along with the�Secretary General of the National Assembly, Woo Yoon Geun,�provided emergency shelters for stray cats in 4 locations around Seoul Yeouido's National Assembly Building.
The decision to establish shelters was settled after an urgent request was made by the Animal Protection Organization last September. �
The shelters created by the Dong Coalition was designed to protect stray cats from harsh windy and rainy weather conditions. �Food, as well as necessary health care, will be provided at the designated areas. �TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) will also be performed at these stations.
One official stated, "People are planning to look after the cats, taking care of the stations."
