Hanteo Chart revealed that they made a huge error in recording how many Big Bang albums were sold with their most recent comeback.
Big Bang released their physical album at midnight (KST) on December 23. And what was initially reported by Hanteo, between midnight and 3 PM, the group sold about 308,000 albums. Then suddenly at 4 PM KST, the number changed to 20,000 albums. At 6 PM, it was about 61,240 albums.
When the 308,000 album number was first posted, numerous VIP's quickly spread the news on social media and many praised the group. However, a Hanteo rep has admitted to making an error when Dispatch contacted them. The representative stated, "There was an error when we were adding to the total sales number...Certain stores sent in the sales number repeatedly by accident, and those numbers were accidentally reflected in the live chart...This almost never happens, so we are also flustered. We apologize to Big Bang and their fans."
