Because the story about the team getting forced out was spreading online, the production team shared an explanation of what happened on December 20 on their official Weibo. The statement read, "We stopped filming temporarily in the supermarket inside the university campus because of a safety issue from the crowd of people that began to form around the site...We were not kicked out...The filming was something that the school campus and the team agreed on previously...It is our fault for not completely preparing for the organization and safety issue."
Chinese Netizens responded by commenting, "The staffs are working hard. Fighting, Lay!" "Everyone, be safe," and "I hope the drama shooting goes well."
Lay is the lead actor of the remake of 2007 Japanese drama, 'Operation Proposal,' that will be airing in China.
