SEE ALSO: IU reflects on her 100th concert and the end of her world tour

The photo shows two monitors which show IU's character from the drama crying -- as we saw in the last episode -- after she's returned to the present world. But in the right side monitor, you can see a hand holding a handkerchief for IU. The singer's description also reads, "Huh? A handkerchief...?" 

Fans are speculating that this ending was filmed but was ultimately cut out. If the ending it what we think it is, it means that Prince So (played by Lee Jun Ki) and Hae Soo does get to reunite in the present world, like so many viewers hoped! 

Wonder if they will ever release a DVD of the drama series with this alternate ending!
