BTS talked about their super successful year of 2016 in an interview with Star News!
2016 was the year of BTS. They released two full albums, 'Young Forever' and 'Wings' as well as two singles 'I Need U' and 'Run' in Japan and achieved the recognition of best idol group in 2016.
Not only did they kill chart after chart with 'Wings,' BTS won on all 6 music programs, they sold over 680,000 albums in the month of October and even entered the Billboard Hot 200 chart ranking at No. 3. They broke records, topped charts in Korea, U.S., Japan, and China. BTS also ranked No. 1 in iTunes chart (total of 97 countries) and placed No. 1 in the U.S. Apple Music chart.
As expected, the members talked about this year -- their fourth year since debut -- with excitement. Jimin shared, "I believed that effort brings good results, and this year was a year that confirmed my belief. We have so many unforgettable memories this year." SUGA commented, "This is the year I will remember even on my last day. It is all thanks to [fans]."

Rap Monster shared the gratitude, but as the leader, he seemed to also be concerned about the path ahead of them. He stated, "2016 was a year of our dreams becoming reality. Many people have come to know us, but with that, I think we have more responsibilities now. But it doesn't feel like a pressure. More responsibilities mean that we have more things to cherish."
Jin, the oldest of the group, reviewed the year by saying, "It was a year of many records, and even though many things happened, there were more happy moments, so it was a happy year overall. It is all thanks to everyone who cheer us. I have nothing but gratitude for them."
