A delivery man who broke into a delivery recipient's house and attempted sexual assault was denied an appeal against his original sentencing.
Last month, the 36-year-old delivery man broke into a residence that he had previously delivered a package to. A mother and her young daughter were inside the house at the time of the break-in. The man had memorized the door password to enter during the previous delivery and was able to break into the house. He waited for the mother and baby to fall asleep, put a stocking over his head to disguise himself, and attempted to assault the woman.
The mother was quickly awakened and the man ran away. She fell during the commotion and suffered a minor injury.
Earlier this year, the man called the victim and sexually harassed her over the phone. The phone number for the victim was also collected while delivering items to her.
The court sentenced the man to 5 years in prison and 80 hours of rehabilitation for sexual deviation.
