The gold medal in rhythm gymnastics has been won on the September 15th MBC Chuseok special '2016 Idol Star Athletics Championships'!
This year is the first that rhythm gymnastics has been a category in the annual championships, and the competing idol stars made sure to give it a good entrance. AOA's Chanmi, Youngji, FIESTAR's Cao Lu, TWICE's Mina, Lovelyz' Yein, Brave Girls' Eunji, and Cosmic Girls' Cheng Xiao competed for a medal.
Many expected Cheng Xiao, who practiced rhythm gymnastics as a child, to take the gold, and that she did. In the end, Cheng Xiao grabbed 1st place, Cao Lu took silver, and Yein claimed bronze.
