?LUCKY ROMANCE
"Come on. You're not going to find Sauron's ring in there."
Bo Nui breaks up with Soo Ho, despite the kiss, but he still goes with her to see Bo Ra. Gary decides to accent his confession with a ring. Soo Ho and Amy decide to eat and talk together. A dinner planned by Soo Ho's mom goes awry when people find out the gathering is about airing grievances.
This one felt a bit long again, probably because all they did was talk. Funny dialog is one thing, but this was all heartfelt confessions and small talk. It all moved things forward, but it still was slower. And ultimately, nothing got resolved. There were a few gags, but this episode was short on yuks.
"It's not confetti. I'm protesting those camera tickets I keep getting."
It seems as if the romance is on hold. It's a love polygon and no one can actually satisfy their longings. Amy and Dal Nim have it bad for Soo Ho, but Soo Ho only wants Bo Nui. So does Gary. But Bo Nui doesn't want anyone. Even Soo Ho's mom and dad are fighting.
I think they sort of forgot the plot. The point is that she's superstitious and he's into science. So to see him run around like a love-crazed goon and refusing to take no for an answer is jarring at best. It would be better to see him analyze why, and then become a bear at work because he can't sleep and can't stop thinking about her. To me, it's still early for confessions.
Sometimes, work is just like this.
Still, the series had high points. I'm just waiting for those to return.
