On April 12, tvN issued an official apology to the CAHD, with, "We are deeply regretting our careless actions to satirize our society's current misconceptions and stereotypes. We are taking this recent controversy seriously and heavily, we are preparing to take disciplinary measures on responsible staff members, and will place greater emphasis on broadcasting standards from now on. We apologize to all members of single-parent families for inflicting them with discomfort. We extend our apologies also to all those who were negatively affected by this controversy. We will make sure an issue like this never occurs again."
In response to tvN's formal apology, the CAHD has decided to withdraw their complaint on the previously reported parties.
Comedian Jang Dong Min, who received much attention at the center of the recent controversy, will now be leaving his position on tvN's 'Comedy Big League'. He and girlfriend Navi will also leave their segment on KBS's 'A Look at Myself'. The comedian took to his Facebook to apologize for his actions, saying, "I know that it will be impossible to clean all of the wounds I've inflicted, but I hope those inflicted can see even the slightest of my deep regret."
