Comedian Shin Jung Hwan is currently keeping himself from TV after his gambling controversy.
He's currently running a dessert shop in Singapore named 'Ice Lab' quietly, staying away from all sorts of entertainment. However, recently, a reporter tried to snag an interview with him at his shop. The reporter goes into the store and greets him with a camera to his face, and he looks like he's expecting an order before she asks for an interview. He smiles and says, "I'm working right now. Also, I am not giving interviews. I'm sorry."
Even after he refuses and tries to walk away, she keeps calling after him, asking him for an interview 'just this once' as he repeats the same thing - that he is working and that he is not currently doing interviews. She was forced to admit, "I've tried 4-5 times, but he keeps refusing. Let me try one last time." However, even at her last attempt, he replied, "I am not giving interviews. I'm sorry. I'm just spreading Korean dessert."
Even though Shin Jung Hwan doesn't currently have the best image in Korea currently, many frowned at her forwardness because he was clearly uncomfortable. It was later revealed that she had gone to visit his store without any warning of an interview, causing more backlash against the reporter.
