One man was so devastated and overcome with grief from a breakup with his girlfriend that he went and did the unthinkable.
Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency revealed on February 4 that they have arrested a 35-year-old man identified by surname Kwon on charges of armed robbery. Kwon is suspected of robbing two convenience stores in Eunpyeong District this past January 26, using box cutters to threaten the employees into handing him a total of 700,000 KRW (~ $580 USD).
During the investigation, Kwon was reported to have testified, "I gave up on life. If I commit a serious crime, then it would have been easy for me to kill myself." Kwon had allegedly gotten such drastic thoughts after being filled with loathing and vengeance after breaking up with his girlfriend whom he had dated for a mere three months.

Kwon had tried to flee to Busan in order to off himself only to be caught by the police in three days.
It was also revealed that Kwon was convicted on a total of ten accounts for armed robbery and burglary.
