Seemingly random alliances are not uncommon in K-Pop and Stephanie proved just so when she revealed that she is a close friend of Jang Geun Suk's mother.

The singer was at a recording session for KBS 2TV's '1 vs. 100,' where she discussed undergraduate life as a 28-year-old, how she's been practicing ballet since she was five, and somehow, the discussion led to her friendship with Jang Geun Suk's mother.
Stephanie, who is known to be a close friend of Jang Geun Suk, said, "I know Jang Geun Suk's parents [on a personal level]. I'm closest to Geun Suk's mother. She is really an admirable woman. We even drink together without Geun Suk."
Sounds like Stephanie is like the daughter Jang Geun Suk's mother never had!
