Staff Picks: Best MVs of 2015 (Second Half)

CL , Kyuhyun, Wonder Girls, IU, Seventeen, Ailee, BTS, Dynamic Duo, GOT7

After choosing the best MVs in the first half of 2015, the staff members at allkpop went on to choose the best music videos in the second half! The year was a blur with all the dating scandals, debuts, and more - but the crazy (good) music releases are what always has the K-Pop fans coming back for more.

Check out the staff picks for the best MVs of 2015 (second half).

Paul: Dynamic Duo "Jam"

Clever use of using "Honey" Lee and bees for an MV titled "Honey" Jam... and a Big Bang parody to boot. Nice, simple, and funny MV.

Edward: Wonder Girls "I Feel You"

I was torn between MAMAMOO and Wonder Girls, but I definitely choose Wonder Girls because their comeback was highly anticipated and the MV is just full of color and chic styles making it a sensation that I feel my eyes can't look away from.

Jenny: BTS 'I Need U / Prologue / Run / I Need U (Japanese version)'

I lumped all these together because they're all connected. I've already written out my very long theory for this MV here; also, I feel like after watching the Japanese version of "I Need U" I have to correct myself because Jin is very much dead in that version and I'm pretty sure all these MVs relate to one another. I'm not going to comment much more about this because I wrote an entire feature on it haha; just know that I love it! Anyway, if I could've picked two, I would've picked VIXX LR's "Beautiful Liar".

Annie S: Seventeen & Ailee "Q&A"

If you love adorable things, you'll love this MV. It literally portrays difficult relationship questions and answers (which I must admit, I wouldn't even know the answers to some of these questions). Plus, you have the good looking and endearing Seventeen boys. This MV is hands down one of the most notable MVs of the second half of 2015. And who can forget to mention Ailee's voice? YASS.

Elisa & Jennifer: IU "Twenty-three"

Elisa: The MV was the perfect amount of quirky, artsy, cute, and funny. Most music videos are by default visually pleasing, but I felt the "Twenty-three" MV went the extra mile to represent the song's lyrics. IU also did a great job with acting that added another level to it.

Jennifer: I was stuck between IU's "Twenty-three" and another MV but ultimately settled on "Twenty-three." I chose it not only because the MV is a fun spin on an 'Alice In Wonderland' theme but also because it's refreshing to see IU explore her maturity through experimentation with music. The IU of "Twenty-three" is certainly not the same IU of "Good Day"--bashful, somewhat timid and unsure of herself. In "Twenty-three," IU is still a bit unsure; however, she embraces the unknowing with welcome arms, allowing in equal parts her split identities as a grown young woman and child define who she is.

Eric: Kyuhyun "A Million Pieces"

In this song, Super Junior singer Kyuhyun unleashes his amazing voice, but it was the tear-jerking mini-drama in this MV that captured my attention. The plot is simple: two tourists keep bumping into each other in Switzerland with romantic implications. Go Ara puts in a heart-rending performance amid dazzling vistas and cute moments in this must-see video.

Jessica & Will: GOT7 "If You Do"

Jessica: GOT7 has slayedd their comeback this second half with a revamped image and sound. The boys have finally thrown away their boyish, falling head-over-heels concept and are now the angsty teenagers. What's really outstanding in this video is the transition in setting when Jackson falls in and Yugyeom comes out. The color grungy/vintage color scheme, the men in black outfits, the fisheye lens they used, everything about this MV was perfectly calculated and executed. Aside from my being a huge fan of GOT7, it was refreshing to see the boys make a transformation in image.

Will: The emotions in this music video feel so real. The reason I love this music video is that it supplements the already emotional track with visuals and imagery, making the song even more powerful. My favorite feature of this music video is how they showcase each member being destructive in his own way — giving the music video individuality and personality.

Annie: CL "Hello Bitches"

This is a badass dance video with CL and her group of swagtastic backup dancers. It's fierce, it's sexy, it's badass.  If G-Friend's "Me Gustas Tu" makes me feel like a young girl again, this makes me feel like a grown woman ready to kick some ass, don't no one go messin' with me. The MV is a joy to watch over and over again because they are so full of confidence and natural swag that it's entertainment at its finest.
