According to the Unification Ministry, North Korea returned the body of a South Korean man found drifting in the waters off the east coast.
The body was returned to the neutral village of Panmunjom with his belongings including a social security card which identified the body as a 32-year-old South Korean man with the surname Choi.
Ministry spokesman Jeong Joon-hee reported, "North Korea's Red Cross found an unidentified body of what appeared to be a body of a South Korean citizen in the shores near Yodo of North Korea's Kangwon Province and have handed the body over to us. We will proceed with our investigation."
However, in the process of identifying the man, it was found that the address associated with the man was incorrect. It was reported that the South Korean government will look into details as the investigation continues.
