T-ara Jiyeon's brother Park Hyo Joon's good deed of how he transplanted his liver for his ailing father became belatedly known by the public.
According to sources in the entertainment industry, Jiyeon's brother was discharged from his military service after undergoing major transplant surgery this past May.
This selfless deed became public through a report by Kookbang Ilbo. At the time, Park Hyo Joon was enlisted under the 77 battalion in the army's sixth division. After hearing that his father's life was at risk due to cirrhosis, Park Hyo Joon transplanted 70% of his liver to save him. As soon as the father received the diagnosis that his life was endangered, he immediately proceeded with a biopsy and underwent the necessary surgery. Thankfully, both son and father recovered quickly and regained their health.
Thank goodness that everything is okay with Jiyeon's family!
