My life is pretty idle; I basically do the same thing every day: go to work, eat, sleep, putter aimlessly about on the internet, and repeat. The most exciting part of the week was arguing with the gym I go to over a billing issue...and of course, K-Pop! Unlike my mundane life, many things happened in the Korean entertainment world this week that got my head spinning. If you want to be caught up on the latest news and gossip, read on, fellow K-Poppers.
Psst, it's Friday! :D

T-ara's 'tude?
Some fans found fault with T-ara's attitude at the 'Idol Star Athletics Championship,' where the group were said to have completely ignored the T-ara supporters sitting in the bleachers. In reaction to this slight, various T-ara fan sites announced their temporary closings. Other people, however, pointed out the affection T-ara actually displayed for their followers, leading the previous dissenters apologize to T-ara for jumping to conclusions.
T-ara themselves spoke up about the matter, offering an apology for their behavior which caused a misunderstanding.
Hyungsik also got a 'tude?
Hyungsik was on the receiving end of criticism from reporters who thought he wasn't on his best behavior during an interview. The actor must have been particularly exhausted that day, as he simply didn't give the interviewers the long, winded answers that they had hoped to hear. What they got instead was a face that clearly showed that he didn't want to be there and pithy remarks which didn't reveal much. Hyungsik really may have had a rough day but that wasn't good enough an excuse for the reporters.
Lee Tae Im on Yewon
After the highly publicized incident of Yewon's informal speech scandal back in April, Lee Tae Im had remained quiet. Now the actress is tentatively testing the waters and even accepted a role in a cable drama called 'You'll Love Me.' She also gave an interview, spilling her honest thoughts about the whole controversy which drove her to believe that she would not be able to return to her acting career. Lee Tae Im mentioned that though she was disappointed in Yewon, she was disappointed in herself, as well, for not being the bigger person.
Tao oh Tao
Tao may have left EXO and SM, but the singer still thinks about his former comrades every once in a while, or so he said in an exclusive interview with Sina. The singer revealed that he reaches out to Luhan frequently but hesitates doing the same with Kris. From what Tao said, we may guess that the abrupt departure of Kris had come as a big shock to him, especially since the two were close. Tao also explained his shoving of Baekhyun in a video that was recorded in China, showing him roughly shoving Baekhyun away. Though Tao is looking a bit peevish in the clip, he said that "they were all just playing around."
Mysterious female idol 'a'
An interesting tale floating around on the internet caught the attention of netizens. After reading the story, it's only normal for everyone's curiosity to be sparked, especially if the story is about a two-timing female idol. Apparently this female idol is dating not one but two male idols! Netizens have tried to guess the identities of 'A' and her lovers 'B' and 'C', but who will really ever know? Besides, other people's personal lives are really none of our concern--even though they may be celebs.
A War of Words
Every time I see more news on this guy, I just facepalm so hard and ask myself, "When will it end??!" Not anytime soon, from the looks of it, as what was originally a battle between Ms. Choi and Kim Hyun Joong has turned into an intense war of words between their lawyers. Ms. Choi's attorney sued Kim Hyun Joong's legal rep, then in a bipolar mood took it back. These tenacious lawyers are doing everything in their powers to turn the tide the way they want, but the public's heart is a skeptical one that's not so easily swayed. And it seems like many people are getting tired of this whole mess.
YoonA and Lee Seung Gi split..and so do GD and Kiko?
Couples are always coming and going in the realm of K-Pop; this week we saw the going of two couples. One is verified while the other is just mere speculation. Much to everyone's disappointment (and maybe the glee of others), Lee Seung Gi and YoonA were reported to have split and gone their separate ways. The reason for their parting was the typical 'busy schedule,' but SM released a statement saying that the two will remain close friends.
We all know there is something going on between G-Dragon and Kiko, but that 'something' was never confirmed by either side. But it's pretty darn clear that "Good Boy" GD feels some type of way towards Kiko, and Kiko towards GD. A mysterious Instagram post uploaded by Kiko got people wondering, "Will we see no more of the couple-but-not-a-couple?" Maybe the two got into a lover's spat and Kiko had vented on social media in frustration.
Weekly Idol forgets who's in GG
'Weekly Idol' got the glorious honor of featuring Girls' Generation on their show! I guess the production crew got a little too excited about securing one of the biggest girls groups in K-Pop. I mean who wouldn't be, right? It's Girls' Generation for crying out loud! Unfortunately, whoever edited the preview announcing the girls' coming to the show completely forgot about Seohyun and instead replaced her with Jessica. Uh oh.
1D fans and K-Pop fans butt heads
Western pop and Eastern pop somehow crossed paths but not in a good way. In fact, things got pretty ugly between One Direction fans and T-ara fans as they made social media the battleground to wage war. A Queen called former 1D member Zayn a terrorist, and in turn, Directioners struck back by bringing up the death of Ladies' Code's EunB. Can we stop this guise? G..guise?
