The winners of the "Talk! Talk! Korea 2015," held by The Korean Culture and Information Service, part of the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, contest have been announced!
With the theme of this year's contest, "Show Them What you Know About Korea," a total of 15,911 works from 143 countries were submitted to the contest this year, doubling the submissions collected in the previous event.
Here are the winners from this year's 'Talk! Talk! Korea 2015' contest.
'TripleCrown,' a Bulgarian team, won the general video Ad category. They sang 'Arirang,' producing it on their own with their own lyrics and parodying typical Korean soap operas.
Abel Torres Quintero from Colombia won first place for video Arirang category, where he rearranged the traditional 'Arirang,' giving it a funky-rock twist. He wrote that he wanted to give a touch of happiness.
Pham Trinh Phuongthanh from Vietnam won the webtoon category, drawing watercolor paintings that portray a journey to Korea through a hole in the garden.
In the calligraphy category, Lusiana from Indonesia won the top prize, spelling Korean words with many common Korean foods and ingredients, including kimchi, bibimbap, tteokbokgi and seaweed.
Kubra Rendecioglu from Turkey took the prize in the photo category, as she posed happily with her friends, dressed in traditional Korean hanboks.
Elizabeth Marie Gonzalez Calderin from Puerto Rico won 1st place winner in the postcard category where she drew a beautiful scenery of a traditional Korean hanok.
Winners in each of the six categories will be invited to Korea over five days in October.

Some of the works of art will be on display at a special exhibition, "Korea, Our Stories," at the National Museum of Korean Contemporary History until Aug. 19. Finally, some of the videos of "Arirang" will be played during a concert on Aug. 14 in honor of the 70th anniversary of Korean independence.
