The anti-fan in question had directed his hatred toward T.O.P in particular with a comment that read, "F*ck t.o.p.." and dragged the rest of the Big Bang members into his tirade by ranting, "f*ck big bang too."
In response, T.O.P took a screenshot of the anti-fan's comment along with his user ID, and uploaded a simple caption of an emoticon with two question marks: "^_^??" Just from this caption, it's hard to decipher just how angry T.O.P was, but the fact that he took the time out to personally call out the user serves as clear indication that he took offense.
The reactions of the netizens were divided; some supported T.O.P and reassured him with comments the likes of, "Oppa, just ignore people like him," "Big Bang has VIPs," and "Who does [the anti-fan] think he is?" Others, however, criticized T.O.P for stooping to the hater's level. They wrote, "Is he asking us to curse [the hater] out instead?" and "[His actions] seem a bit childish." Yet others purported, "Just because he's a celebrity doesn't mean he should just sit by when he's cursed out," and "His reaction is understandable for an attack that's groundless."
T.O.P has since deleted his post.
