Singer Jo Kwon wrote a very long, heartfelt letter to fans of 2AM who may seem concerned at the moment about the group promotions with the news of Seulong and Jinwoon's departure from JYP Entertainment following their contract expirations.
He wrote via the fan cafe on March 26 (abridged version), "Every day since last year, we've greatly been worried and immersed in thoughts about the contract renewal for the four of us. During that time, every single day was extremely exhausting and difficult to the point I can't even speak of it now.
"I only had my eyes set on 2AM for the first chapter of my life; I was worried about how the fans who followed us up to now wouldn't know what to do because of the unbelievable betrayal and shock, and my heart hurt.
"The four of us definitely always ranked 2AM at 0 [even before 1]. Whether it's at the beginning or in present time, 2AM is always happening. I'm telling you this is not the end."

In relation to the problem with the agencies, Jo Kwon stated, "I know how much the fans' hearts must have heart because of our movements from Cube to JYP to Big Hit to JYP. The members were able to have more sincere conversations and to respect and understand one another's thoughts and visions. As always, we support one another. We have our reasons that are personal and our reasons for 2AM, and there are so many reasons and situations left on the table. Dealing with those aspects is extremely difficult," and then apologized for causing a tremendous mental breakdown when the members all moved to separate agencies.
"[Even though] it's said people do not know what will happen in the future, I promise that the four of us will watch over ourselves in the same place and do our best," he wrote. "Because of today's decision, a lot of things happened and in order for there to be no regrets, I will work hard while waiting for brighter days to come."
