South Korea is mourning the death of the "cream bread father (Kang, 29)," but no one more so than his pregnant wife, 25-year-old 'A.' Cheongju Seowon University has now extended a generous job offer to 'A' in order to help her in her time of need.

On January 10, South Korea was shocked when Kang passed away in a sudden hit-and-run accident in the city of Cheongju. According to reports, Kang was walking home after buying a bag of cream bread for 'A' when a white BMW hit Kang and fled the scene. The culprit turned himself in on January 29 and admitted that he was drinking and driving, but was not aware that he had hit Kang and consequently left 'A' a single mother. 

On February 3, Cheongju Seowon University announced that it would like to specially recruit 'A' as an administrative official at their school. A representative stated, "We heard that 'A,' who lost her husband, had no means of earning money and was preparing for her teacher certification exam, so we proposed hiring her." 

They continued to provide the details of the offer, saying, "A graduate of our Department of History and Education, 'A' will be taking charge of Korean education materials and museum duties... When her maternity leave ends, we plan on reviewing 'A's performance as a teacher in a Seowon affiliated high school." 

Cheongju Seowon University operates under the slogan, "A university that grows with those around it." True to their mission to help their community, Cheongju Seowon University expresses their desire to employ 'A' to help her earn money while she prepares for her exam.
