On January 17, netizens uploaded pictures of what appeared to be Baekhyun entering a bubble tea cafe and Taeyeon's white Mercedes Benz SLK 55 AMG parked outside. Netizens speculated that the two were on a bubble tea date together inside the cafe. 

As some were concerned about Baekhyun and Taeyeon's relationship ever since the two went on an unfollowing spree on their Instagrams, going so far as to even unfollow each other, netizens now believe that all is actually well between the couple with these new pictures surfacing on the web.

Top netizen comments on the pictures include, "They are in a relationship so of course they would date, idiots keke," "If you look at them objectively, Girls' Generation's Taeyeon and EXO's Baekhyun make up a fantasy couple... they should be the top among idol couples.... If only they didn't do SNS, then they wouldn't be shot down as much," and, "They're in a relationship; can't they date?"

However, other netizens are pointing out that some of the pictures are not from a date between Baekhyun and Taeyeon. While one picture was apparently taken by a Beijing fan when Baekhyun and fellow EXO member Sehun went out to buy bubble tea, another picture was photoshopped, complete with a fake 'Dispatch' logo.

It is believed that these pictures were used to propel the rumor that Baekhyun and Taeyeon went on a bubble tea date recently.
