During the December 9 press conference for upcoming movie 'Working Girl', the director, Jung Bum Shik, made a comment about Clara that became controversial for its 19+ nature.
He had said, "There is a scene were Nanhee, Clara's character, tests out a vibrator thong. It doesn't actually exist, and it's something we made up for the movie. She had to act according to the vibrations, and we didn't know how to tell her. But the day before the scene, she came to me and asked if she could borrow one of the props, and she borrowed it.
The next day, Clara came. We call the movements of the body 'choreography.' We had planned out the choreography, but it was hard to tell her how and we didn't know how to act it out. But while we were talking in private, Clara said she tried it out. Since she had to make moaning sounds as well, she said she recorded it on her phone. She asked me to confirm the sound, and I didn't know what to do because she was very good at it and I was listening to those sounds with the #2 beauty in the world.
The scene came out by matching the choreography I told her to do and the sounds she thought up herself. It's a scene where she reaches orgasm, and I think it's a scene many men will be mesmerized by. That's how this scene was made."
As a result, a rep from Clara's agency told OBS Plus on December 10 that the director had made an apology. The rep stated, "The director personally apologized to Clara regarding the remark from the 'Working Girl' press conference that became a controversy.
Clara does not usually express her emotions, so when something happens, she keeps it in. Even now, she is going through her personal schedule according to plan and focusing.
What he said had not been discussed previously, but the director had no ulterior motives. It seems that he just wanted to compliment Clara on how much she focused on her character and how hard she worked. Clara and the director will maintain their amicable relations with no problems."
The movie will be out in January!
