For this year, our allkpop staff members combed through numerous releases to bring you a list of fifty of the year's most noteworthy songs. (Note: To be on this ranking, the songs had to be released between the dates of January 1, 2014 to December 15, 2014 for consideration.) The songs are listed based on a combination of level of popularity on allkpop, music chart rankings, music show awards, and staff opinion.
Today, we bring you our last part of the list, rankings ten to one. Check it out below!
10. Girl's Day "Something"
Album: Girl's Day Every Day II
Agency: Dream T Entertainment
Release Date: January 3, 2014
9. 2NE1 "Come Back Home"
Album: Crush
Agency: YG Entertainment
Release Date: February 27, 2014
allkpop Review
2NE1 also made a strong comeback this year with "Come Back Home." 2NE1 always manages to soothe the wounded heart in strange ways with a new sound. Although the electronic break-down followed by the acoustic instruments might come unexpected, the girls neatly knit the two sounds together to make one. Probably the most touching performance of "Come Back Home" was when it was sung acoustically and the girls dedicated the song to the lost students from the Sewol Ferry incident.
8. Super Junior "Mamacita"
Album: Mamacita
Agency: SM Entertainment
Release Date: October 23, 2014
This fun, western track was a nice change of pace from the rather consistent numbers SM continues to release. The overall theme is whimsical and light, but the track itself is sophisticated, well composed, and distributed well amongst the members, bringing out the best in each vocalist and rapper. Kyuhyun's vocals really shine in this particular track as he ad-libs over all the busy sounds.
7. Akdong Musician "200%"
Album: Play
Agency: YG Entertainment

5. A Pink "Mr. Chu"
Album: Pink Blossom
Agency:
Release Date: March 31, 2014
4. EXO "Overdose"
Album: Overdose
Agency: SM Entertainment
Release Date: May 7, 2014
allkpop Review
EXO made a solid comeback with "Overdose" following "Wolf" and "Growl." Just like their past hits, "Overdose" has heavy electronic sounds, a hint of dubstep, and is influenced by western pop. The result was staggering as the title track hooked in the listeners with their spell-like lyrics and addictive beats.
3. B2ST "Good Luck"
Album: Good Luck
Agency: Cube Entertainment
Release Date: June 16, 2014
allkpop Review
Members of B2ST really exceeded their expectations this year with individual performances and advances, but nothing beats the full package as the group made a successful comeback with "Good Luck," which can also be described as Junghyung's best work yet. As a producer for "Good Luck" and a fellow member of the group, Junhyung pushed his members beyond their limits by meticulously distributing the best part for each. No individual member outperformed the other in the track, but each part came together to create one eargasmic masterpiece.
2. Soyu x JungGiGo "Some"
Album: Some
Agency: Starship Entertainment
Release Date: February 27. 2014
The track is upbeat, cute, and ridiculously addictive. The beats are soothing and has a consistent down beat that mimics the fluttering of a heartbeat. The story behind the song is even more adorable as it illustrates the story of a man and a woman who are rather confused about their relationship, but are waiting for something to happen. JungGiGo's mellow vocals and Soyu's airy vocals are the perfect ingredients to a perfect love song.
1. Epik High "Happen Ending"
Album: Shoebox
Agency: YG Entertainment
Release Date: October 21, 2014
allkpop Review Epik High made a huge comeback this year after an extended hiatus since their last release in 2012. 'Shoebox' was received positively from the media as well as the music industry, topping the charts for multiple consecutive weeks. The album is a total gem gem, but the most memorable track would have to be "Happen Ending." Tablo is a lyrical genius and his storytelling skills are absolutely chilling as "Happen Ending" beautifully and painfully illustrates the foreseeable ending to a relationship. The frank lyrics to the string-driven instrumentals leave the listeners with a bittersweet feeling. Although the song is a little depressing, the production of the song is near perfection.
