The '2014 South Korean Popular Culture and Arts Awards' took place on November 17 at the Hongik University's Art Center in Seoul, featuring appearances by Kim Soo Hyun and Lee Min Ho, as well as other celebrities like Shin Dong Yup, Baek Ji Young, Kim Bo Sung, EXO-K, and Red Velvet.
EXO-K performed Super Junior's "Sorry Sorry" and their own track, "MAMA," while Red Velvet performed "Be Natural."

In addition, Kim Soo Hyun and Lee Min Ho won the Prime Minister Awards! The former stated, "I am truly honored. This is a moment I will never forget. I thank the people who looked over me and my parents. I will do my best to act so I do not someday miss this moment and I will live while doing my best."
Lee Min Ho said, "I feel really honored. I am grateful that I could act during such a good generation. I will work hard to be an actor who could receive love, no matter how small, for a long time."
The two received the award along with Shin Dong Yup, Na Young Suk PD, writer Park Ji Eun, Jun Guk Hwa, PD Jung Dae Kyung. One other awards category was 'Culture & Sports Tourism Department Award', which acknowledged those who helped spread Hallyu and the awardees included EXO, Lee Seung Gi, Kim Joon Hyun, Producer Go Kyun Hyuk, Choreographer Jung Jin Suk, Kim Jae Man, and Kim Bo Sung.
For the 'President's Award', Cube Chairman Hong Seung Sung, Producer Kim Young Hee, Composer Yoo Young Jin, and the late Kim Kwang Suk were awarded.
