According to an exclusive report by TV Report, 'You Who Came From the Stars' which was originally scheduled for 20 episodes is set to be extended to 21 episodes. The media outlet says that writer Park Ji Eun already got the approval from SBS and the cast has also expressed a positive stance towards the extension.
During the Lunar New Year, the 14th episode which was set to air on the 30th will be cancelled and replaced by a special film, leaving the 20th final episode to air on a Wednesday rather than a Thursday, leaving the Thursday slot open.
Because of this, it's said the drama is considering adding one more episode to end on a Thursday as well as to fulfill the requests of its avid viewers.
TV Report says that a rep told them, "A one-episode extension has already been in talks. Because the cancelled broadcast on the 30th gives us a short break, we brought up opinions on creating a 21st episode."
However, the drama's production company HB Entertainment rep as well as SBS responded to the reports, with the famous line 'nothing has been confirmed yet'. The production company stated, "The one-episode extension has not been confirmed." A SBS rep also responded, "Nothing has been confirmed yet."
So we'll have to see whether the one episode extension is approved!
