According to 'No Cut News', SM Entertainment artists will enjoy a well-deserved break during the holidays including TVXQ, Super Junior, Girls' Generation, SHINee, f(x), and EXO, who will be returning to their homes for the most part. Some exceptions include YoonA who is busy filming 'Prime Minister and I' and Changmin who recently entered filming for 'Mimi'.
Another idol-turned actor who will be filming during the Lunar New Year is Dasom. Although SISTAR was granted a break since their group activities are currently on hold, Dasom will not sit out for the holidays and instead take on her responsibility as the lead actress of 'Love Through Song'.
Cube Entertainment artists will be busy this new year. 4minute will be holding a fan meeting in Hong Kong on February 8, but the members will shortly spend quality time with their families for the holidays before that and then return to the practice room. BTOB will also depart for the Philippines for the 'Dream KPOP Fantasy Concert' in Manila on February 2 and B2ST will carry out their schedule in Japan starting on January 30.
Other idol stars attending the 'Dream KPOP Fantasy Concert' include KARA's Seungyeon, Super Junior-M, Block B, B.A.P, A-JAX, and A-Prince. T.S Entertainment's B.A.P will depart for the Philippines for the concert on the 31st and return on February 3. Meanwhile, their label mates SECRET will depart for Japan on February 1 ahead of the Japanese release of "I Do I Do" on February 5.
JYP Entertainment's representative boy group 2PM will kick off their arena tour in Nagoya on January 27-28 and perform a total of 14 shows across five cities until March.
As for CNBLUE, they just recently wrapped up their US tour and will head for Mexico, Chile, and Peru next.
Many of the girl groups that made their comeback in January are mostly said to be taking a bit of time off to visit with their families. Girl's Day will be among them to go visit their homes for a break starting on the 28th until February 1. Dal Shabet will go on break after completing their final schedule before Lunar New Year on the 30th. Rainbow BLAXX will also get only the day of Lunar New Year off. All the girl groups will have to cut their break short and return to the stage for 'Inkigayo' on February 2.
