Taeyang had a casual meeting with the press at a cafe in Seoul on November 11. He talked about variety programs and possibly expanding into the acting world.
When asked about any plans to appear on variety programs, Taeyang said, "I do not have any concrete plans yet . . . I do think I might do it for my album, though."
He continued, "I'm not the style to watch a lot of TV, but I occasionally enjoy watching 'Dad, Where Are You Going?' . . . But I can't go on that because I'm not a dad," and laughed.
Taeyang also complimented T.O.P, saying, "I watched 'The Commitment' in which T.O.P is the main lead and he acted really well . . . I saw him as the character in the movie--I did not feel like he was my fellow group member during that time."
When asked whether Taeyang would likewise take on the challenge of acting, he responded rather chattily, "If I was ordered to do so, I think I would be no joke."
He continued, "Before, I really had no interest and even now, I don't have that much interest, but these days, when I watch a movie at home, I realized that movies make me feel the similar emotions that music does . . . I don't think it'd be bad if I acted a role that I could easily express and that matches me well."
Keep your fingers crossed! Maybe you will be seeing Taeyang in your favorite variety program or in the next Korean blockbuster sometime soon!
