The drama's production company stated, "Han Chae Young's image fits perfectly with her character Hong Yu Ra, so much so that you won't be able to think of any other actress who could carry out the role better... She will show a juxtaposition with Kim Bo Tong (IU) in various ways, increasing the tension."

'Pretty Man' is a story about a man with a pretty face who manages to capture the hearts of females easily, and through them, he gains not only riches and power, but also later learns what's truly important in life.
