'K-Pop Star 3's PD Park Sung Hoon stated, "We expected the number of applicants to be similar to the previous seasons' but the number continued to increase. Compared to last season, the number of applicants increased by 20%."
"It depends on the person so we can't say for sure that the talent and individual colors were upgraded. As someone who watched over seasons 1-3, a couple talented contestants that are worth looking forward to have caught my eyes.
"Because we held auditions in Atlanta and Chicago for the first time, there were a lot of contestants in those areas. Although many auditions were held in the States, as it is a vast country, there were many applicants that couldn't make it. The foreign applicants who passed the preliminary rounds have shown competitive edge that will allow them to battle it out even in Korea."
Those who passed the prelims will meet judges Yang Hyun Suk, J.Y. Park and BoA when filming begins mid-October. 'K-Pop Star 3' will premiere this November!
