The New Zealand arc of 'Laws of the Jungle' has come to an end.
Even before the airing of the first episode, the show became embroiled in controversy after the agency head of Park Bo Young posted commentschallenging the truth of the reality program. Even though he apologized and the staff of the show remained adamant that the show was completely sincere, evidence arose that some of the elements on the show were false and it rapidly spread on the internet. The show issued an apology, but despite the controversy, the variety show had maintained its #1 spot in its timeslot.
The controversial arc came to an end with the May 10th episode. At the end, Kim Byung Man said, "This place is the end and it's also another start. I worked really hard to go back to how I was in the beginning. New Zealand was a little harder for me [than other places] personally. It was more intense. The environment was good, but the conditions we had were intense. We've come here to train so that 'Laws of the Jungle' can get stronger. Please let us go on longer with a more developed look next time. I hope this goes on forever."
With all the hardship that the cast went through, no one can argue that everyone worked incredibly hard. The Himalayan arc of 'Laws of the Jungle' will begin airing on May 17.
