Kibum, who is a former member of U-KISS, has been making himself known in Japan, even sweeping up endorsement deals. It's been a while since his Korean fans have heard from him, but there's good news on the way for them as he'll be making a return to the Korean music scene!
According to Kibum's label Professional Entertainment, the kimchi and cosmetic brands he modeled for have seen quite a success in Japan after bringing him in as their endorser, as all the items he promoted previously sold out in Japan. In all, he helped bring in the companies a total sales revenue of 10 billion KRW (approximately $9 million USD) for the products he endorsed.
He's been active in Japan as 'Allen Kibum', but it's not clear if he'll be promoting in Korea under the same stage name as well. What is clear is that he will be making a return as his label said, "After he left U-KISS, he's been working hard at album promotions to grow in terms of music, and performed live every week. He avoided being in the media until he felt he was ready as a solo singer."
He is now ready and he'll be releasing his first solo album 'Longing' in April!
