Rainbow's Woori surprised viewers by getting friendly with a wild bat on the Chuseok special of SBS' 'Laws of the Jungle W'.
The 'W' ('Women') tribe was featured on the October 1st broadcast of the special. The cast members were shown hunting wild bats on the show as bats are a necessary source of protein for the natives of Malekula Island.
After setting traps the night before, the natives woke up to check how many bats were caught. Fascinated, Woori stated, "I made eye contact [with a bat]. It's cute. It looks like a bear cub."
The natives were clearly afraid of the bats as they removed them from the traps, but Woori bravely started petting a bat. Comedian Jung Juri also touched the bat, commenting, "It's clawing my hand with its nails."
Actress Jang Shin Young watched from afar, stating, "I'm afraid of anything that resembles mice." The natives jokingly brought a bat near her cheek, causing her to scream and run away. She revealed later through her interview, "I was surprised. So I really did cry. Now that I think about it, it was very dumb of me."
On the other hand, Woori got friendly with the bat in no time. She even spread its wings and explained, "I was actually the most excited about the bats. I wanted to try one. I've been told they taste like smoked ham."
What do you think of Woori's bravery?
