TV personality Harisu cleared up some of the misconceptions and rumors surrounding transgenders.

During a recent shoot for channel A's 'Show King', Harisu discussed living life as a transgender.

When asked if she continues to receive female hormone injections, she replied, "I haven't since I received gender reassignment surgery in 1995."

"People tend to think that I still receive the injections, however, female hormone injections are only necessary before gender reassignment surgery, so I have not gotten them since," she explained.

MC Tak Jae Hoon then asked, "I hear transgenders hit menopause sooner than most women, and do not live as long?", to which Harisu explained, "It is true that we go through menopause much quicker, and both those who have received reassignment surgery as well as those who haven't, all passed away before the age of 60," shocking the MCs on set.

Harisu also talked about her first love, and the man that made her decide she wanted to undergo surgery. The episode airs May 16th at 11PM KST.
