The Ministry of Gender Equality and Family ('MOGEF') has struck again! This time, they've got 23 different songs as well as 14 music videos from Leessang, Simon D, W&Whale and more in their crosshairs. On December 1st, MOGEF released a list of musical material through Korea's e-Gazette that they deemed hazardous to the nation's youth. Starting with hip hop duo Leessang, the MOGEF has determined that their songs "Turned Off the TV", "Kangnam Riche", and "Am I?" from their 6th album, 'Asura Balbalta', contained content too lewd or profane for all audiences. Simon D and Rux also received verdicts stating that their songs 'Hero' and 'Dirty Punk' were banned because of the profanity in their lyrics. Soon after, W&Whale and KARA's Han Seungyeon received a ban for 'Break It Down' and 'Because of Love' because of the violence portrayed in their music videos. Defconn's music video for his track 'First Classic' also got the boot because of profane language in the lyrics and shots of of hazardous substances in the video. The bans will be put into effect starting December 8th, with the 'lewd' or 'profane' albums and music videos being labeled as and can only be purchased by those 19 years old and up. In addition, it has been ruled that these songs cannot be broadcast before 10 PM on TV. Source: Star News via Naver
