On July 15th, Kim Jong Kook and Mikey of old school duo Turbo guested on KBS's 'Yoo Hee Yeol's Sketchbook' and confirmed that they had not disbanded and that there was a possibility of a comeback. After performing some past hits like "Twist King" and "Remembrance", the duo sat down for a chat with MC Yoo Hee Yeol. Kim Jong Kook began, "I don't know how long it's been since we've been on TV together, but it's really been a long time." He continued, "After Turbo, Mikey put out a few solo albums but they didn't fare so well. I don't want to say that Turbo disbanded. We're just briefly apart.. I think that's a better way to put it. If the opportunity arises, I definitely want to work with him again." When asked about the possibility of Turbo's comeback, "We haven't disbanded. Mikey still has to take care of a few things, so after everything gets figured out, we promise to come back with good music." Mikey added, "After Turbo, I took up various other jobs. I worked at an insurance company in the States and even ran an urban clothing store. Whenever Koreans would recognize me, they'd ask, 'What're you doing here? When will you be releasing an album?' That was the most difficult time for me, but thats's why I'm here and determined to make it work again." Check out their performances below! -- Source + Photos: Asia Economy, Seoul NTN via Naver
