YG Entertainment has shown considerable interest in former "Superstar K2" contestant, Kang Seung Yoon. Reportedly, the two sides have met in secret to discuss options. Many were surprised at the news that Kang Seung Yoon was meeting with YGE, because Kang is known for being a rocker. As such, they believed that only rock band labels would be interested in the Top 4 contestant. Of course, YGE wasn't the only company to be interested in him. Agency "A," known for their idol music groups, also sent a love call to Kang Seung Yoon. But who else was approached by big agencies? Though it's been a while since the end of "Superstar K2", the top 11 contestants finally started meeting with various agencies to discuss contracts, some as early as last week. Finalist John Park also received offers from agencies "B" and "C", while winner Huh Gak was approached by agencies known for their vocal talent, as opposed to idol-focused companies. Among those who were interested in Huh Gak, one of them is known to be the home of Huh Gak's favorite vocal group. Hongdae's indie label also showed interest in one of the Top 11 contestants, Jang Jae In. The un-named indie label reportedly met with Jang Jae In to talk about music-related blueprints. A source close to Mnet Media, the management responsible for the Top 11, stated on December 21st, "There are still more meetings left between Top 11 contestants and various agencies. Each contestants will sign with agencies that they prefer. Currently, no contracts have been confirmed." The music industry is buzzing over who would join which agency, and because everything is being kept hush-hush, speculations are running high.
