Famous trot singer Tae Jin Ah was recently appointed the 3rd president of the Korea Singers' Association. The '2010 Singer's Day Commemoration Ceremony' was held in Seoul on November 10th, and over 300 artists were in attendance, including Tae Jin Ah's son, Eru, Kim Gun Mo, Sung Jinwoo, Song Dae Kwan, Yooeol, and After School. When Tae Jin Ah was congratulated for his new position in the Association, the singer stated, "I'm very pleased that I was given the President's position. I will invest my strength in the hopes of promoting the welfare of the singers. 2009 saw the last broadcasts of awards ceremonies on public TV programs. I have hopes to resurrect the 'Teens Singer Awards' by the end of this year. Also, I will create many events that can reward underprivileged artists." He concluded, "I will make sure the currently separated unions of the 'Singers Union', the 'Singer Employee Union', and the 'Singers' Association' will be integrated into the music industry." After all the craziness involving Choi Hee Jin this year, it's good to see that something positive has come up for the singer. [gallery] Source: SPN
