SG Wannabe member Kim Yong Joon revealed a useful method for killing a type of insect called "kkopdeungi." On the 9th, this singer wrote via Twitter his memories regarding kkopdeungi, along with a method on how to kill this insect easily.
Kim Yong Joon shared,
"Right now Tokyo hotel! Surfing on the internet I see that kkopdeungi is the fad. Because the apartment I lived in as a child was old, I would often see these creatures around this time. Every time I came home I would jump up and down to avoid these kkopdeungis." He then continued, "During a shower in the bathroom, I met a large kkopdeungi. Calming my surprised heart, I turned on the shower water to a very hot temperature and boiled the kkopdeungi."Additionally the SG Wannabe member then advised, "Kkopdeungis can randomly jump around after being shocked by the hot water so it's recommended to stay as far away from the insect as possible." For reference, kkopdeungis are 4-5 cm in length and resemble the appearance of crickets. They generally live in Asian countries and cannot be eradicated with F Killer, a type of insect repellent in Korea similar to RAID, as it recovers from the exposure in about 10 seconds. Furthermore, if kkopdeungis are stepped on, they release a substance in their bodies that make it very hard to clean.
