Its only August but SM Entertainment can boast of a healthy profit for this year after active singers under its label dominated offline album sale charts for the first half of 2010. According to Hanteo on the 18th, tabulating sale figures from January 1st to August 17th 2010, apart from Jay Park, 2AM and Rain who occupy 8, 9 and 10th positions, the first 7th positions were all occupied by SME singers comprising of Super Junior, SNSD, SHINee and BoA. Super Junior was first with 122,232 copies sold for version A of their 4th album. Coming in second was SNSD with 118,644 copies sold for their Oh! album. 3rd went to SHINee for their Lucifer album, 4th was SNSD's Oh! repackaged album while Super Junior's version B of its 4th album was 5th. That was not all. BoA came in 6th with her Hurricane Venus album which sold 44,745 copies in just 10 days. And in 7th position was Super Junior's repackaged 4th album. And its no wonder that SME has already achieved its best-ever operating profit return in 2010, with an increase of 385% compared to last year and a net income of 17.6 billion won. With Super Junior's Super Show 3 concert tour in the ongoing stage and SM Town Live '10 World Tour to come in the coming months, SME is really bringing home the money this year.
