On the latest broadcast of Park Soo Hong & Choi Won Jung's Yuh Yoo Mahn Mahn, former Typhoon member Solbi made a guest appearance with her father and elder sister as she talked about the hardships of being a family member of an idol. Solbi talked about her first days of being an idol as she said, "After I debuted, I was so busy living my own life that I didn't pay much attention to my family. It makes me feel bad whenever I think about the hard times that my mother had to go through." But what exactly could the mother of an idol go through that would make one feel so terrible? Solbi explained, "Whenever my mother went to the sauna, she may have ignored the casual gossip that people had about me, but I'm sure it must have been hard to get over." She continued on saying, "She even attended a computer academy to try and get more involved in my future. But she was depressed while listening to all the things other people said." It seems Solbi's mother went through quite a lot because of other mothers gossiping around her. It must have been especially hard since there was a rumor that a sex tape of her daughter had been released. This definitely does give us a better insight into our favorite k-pop idols. The constant gossiping and negative comments against the idols may just bounce off them because it's their job, but their families might suffer tremendously because they're not as equipped or mentally prepared for some of the terrible things that are said. Remember kids, sticks and stones may not break bones but words can always hurt us!
